browse around these guys Lorenzo Marzo worked as a silversmith in Madrid before moving to Paris. He founded his firm in Paris in 1901 where he operated from an address on the rue Saint-Honore before moving to Rue de la Paix. As his reputation grew he opened shops in Biarritz and Madrid as well. At the turn of the 19th century Marzo created fashionable Belle Epoque jewelry. As times and tastes changed, so did Marzo’s creations.
In 1925 Marzo won a Grand Prix for his designs at the seminal L’Exposition International des Arts Decoratifs et Industrials Moderne in Paris. During the Art Deco years, Marzo created many pieces which featured cabochons. These bold and colorful pieces are typical of Marzo’s aesthetic and coveted as fine examples of Art Deco jewelry.
