About the Artist

Warren is originally from Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College before moving to Rome and Paris to continue studying painting, drawing and printmaking. Artist Friedel Dzubas instructed her in the finer points of painting and encouraged her to become a painter. Esteemed Art Historian Barbara Rose nurtured her passion for Art History. Warren is a disciplined artist and spends part of each day in her studio. Whether working in New York or St. Remy, France, Warren finds her inspiration in nature’s organic shapes.

Motion is elemental to Warren’s work. Interpreting reality through abstraction she creates a lyrical dance of form and color in her paintings. She paints, tears and layers paper in her collage work – seeking the movement that paper allows. Her large paintings and works on paper are a celebration of nature and human form.

Warren’s work has been exhibited at Aquavella Contemporary, Kouros and the Zarre Galleries in New York. Galerie Hopkins-Thomas in Paris has shown her work. She has also exhibited at the Mas de la Dame in Provence, France. The Albright Knox Museum, Buffalo and Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon have Warren works in their permanent collections. Her art is also in the corporate collections of JP Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs. Leading collectors Sid R. Bass, Anne Cox Chambers, the Holcomb Greens, Paul Haim. Waring Hopkins, Edith McBean and Paul Skinner all own works by Warren.
