The pandemic years have given all of us a deeper appreciation for animals. With busy lives at a standstill, we had more time for our pets. The lack of noise and traffic allowed us to become more cognizant of birds, their song and life rhythms; as well as those of the other finned and furred inhabitants of our yards, beaches, sea and wildlife sanctuaries.
Finned, Feathered and Furred features drawings, paintings, prints, sculptures and watercolors of birds, a cod fish, a cow, dogs, a monkey, rabbits and a yak. The fine and folk art on view was created between the 1780's and the present. All of it celebrates animals and our connection with them.
