An exhibition of lithographs created by Graves, Mitchell and Morley in collaboration with Tyler Graphics.
Print-making experienced a renaissance in America during the 1970’s and 80’s and Ken Tyler and his firm Tyler Graphics were at the forefront. Working closely with leading artists David Hockney, Helen Frankenthaler, Nancy Graves, Ellsworth Kelly, Joan Mitchell, Malcolm Morley, Robert Motherwell and Frank Stella, Tyler pushed the boundaries of print-making using new technologies. Tyler also experimented with new techniques and papers. Collaboration between artist and printer resulted in large scale work that is colorful, expressive and powerful – just like these artist’s paintings. The prints by Nancy Graves, Joan Mitchell and Malcolm Morley on view and for sale in Artist & Printer are stunning. The exhibition at Andrea S. Keogh Art & Design is on view from September 26 though December 2, 2018. The gallery is located at 59 Bellevue Avenue, Newport, RI across from the Redwood Library.
