Depictions of dogs and other animals by renowned artist and illustrator Robert Andrew Parker, Fairfield Porter, and sculpture by Fabian Dornaux
Legendary artist and illustrator Robert Andrew Parker’s ten beguiling, whimsical works anchor this exhibition. Born in 1927 in Norfolk, Virginia, Parker attended the School at the Art Institute of Chicago, moved to New York City in 1952 where he lived and worked for many years before settling in Northwestern Connecticut. Parker has illustrated more than 50 books, illustrated for Fortune magazine, The New Yorker, Sports Illustrated and exhibited alongside Stuart Davis, Alex Katz, John Marin, Jackson Pollock and Fairfield Porter at gallery and museum exhibitions. His work is in the collections of the AIC, MMA, MOMA and The Whitney. The exhibition at Andrea S. Keogh Art & Design is on view from March 23 though June 9, 2019. The gallery is located at 59 Bellevue Avenue, Newport, RI across from the Redwood Library.
